Overview
Teams and crews are key concepts within the broader scheduling landscape. They represent the need across multiple industries and sectors to group people, assets, and tools together to deliver or perform work.
There is a lot of variation in what ‘team’ or ‘crew’ scheduling means and looks like across different industries. Our focus, however, in line with our company vision, is on the deskless workforce and mobile aspects of this challenge.
Within the deskless workforce landscape, the efficient scheduling of teams and crews is vital for organisations that offer and perform on-site services that require groups of resources.
Teams and Crews is a Skedulo Pulse Platform extension that can be used to manage and schedule work for teams and crews of deskless workers.
Note
This feature is only available on the Skedulo Pulse Platform. What is a team or crew?
In Skedulo, a team or crew is a group of resources assembled to operate and deliver work outside of a central office location or facility. Typically, the group’s combination of roles, experience, skills, and headcount is aligned with the requirements of the specific type of work or service to be performed.
The primary goal when scheduling teams and crews is to ensure that the right group of people with the right skills and tools are dispatched to the right location at the right time.
